He has an upcoming fight this Saturday and we caught up with him quick before leaving for his fight this Sunday in Jakarta Indonesia! Philippines represent!
1. So how did you start in this field? Was it a fast decision?
I started when i was a kid since i was 5 or 6 years old. Then I never stopped competing. When my father passed i promised to him that I will be a better person and a champion!
2. Can you share with us how the Jakarta fight came to be? Good luck on that!
With the help of my friend/brother Coach Gerome Bote ONE CHAMPIONSHIP renewed my contract and together with that they gave me a 2 weeks notice bout vs a MMA artist from China. My coach keeps pushing me to be at my best and be safe With the help of my MMA team KYOKUSHIN and HITMAN MMA we all know that this will be an exciting match again.
3. Care to share with us when and how you started out with the One Championship Committee?
I've competing in and outside our country under my discipline Kyukoshin Karate. And I have non-pro and Pro MMA fights. So i guess ONE Championship noticed my talent and got me to sign up.
4. Can you share what disciplines you specialize in?
I specialized in Kyokushin Kareta as a Blackbelt. I also teach Kyokushin. I first trained Taekwondo when I was a kid for a year or two when I was in gradeschool and then I shifted TO Kyokushin Karate. I cross trainMuay Thai, Boxing and BJJ at HITMAN MMA.
5. What is a normal day for you? How do you go about training for an upcoming fight?
Teaching and Training thats my normal day. We trained hard for this and still trying to lose weight. When i accepted this bout i was 69kg my fight is 61kg with in 2 weeks notice so this was our biggest challenge again. Training is harder than the actual fight!
6. How would you describe Macbeth? We've got you all the way. Since we love music and extreme sports, how would you describe the brand?
1 word for Macbeth - GREAT! Macbeth is great!!! I never thought that they will sponsor someone like me and help me all the way UP with a short notice. I am so blessed to have my Coach and Polo Ravales for always having my back and hooking me up with Macbeth and thank you to Sir Jerry , Sir Jeff and Miss Rhome for trusting and believing in US! DESCRIBE the brand? Macbeth is me.... A FIGHTER! For everyone! They should really make a MMA clothing line for me and my Coach😁😁😁.
